What you get
The 3 strand Z-Laid rope is made from 1 ½” natural fibre. At approximately 880mm long it can be coiled up and stored in your gym bag. One end is finished with a polyboot shrunk to fit and held in place with hot melt adhesive. The business end has a steel collar that acts as a bridge between the rope and a steel D shackle. Both rope and shackle are held in place by bolts fixed with Nyloc nuts. . A Quick Link is supplied to provide a strong, simple and fast fixing between the shackle and a chain/rope/loading pin/whatever you choose. Finally a thick black sleeve is fitted over the steel collar to finish it all off.
Simple? Yes. Effective? You bet!

“IT ALL STARTS WITH THE HANDS”
I’ve been strength training for a number of years more recently to increase my grappling and combative skills.
I’ve purchased a number of grip strength training pieces and had considered buying a short rope to use for training from a <country-regionw:ston><placew:ston>US provider. However I saw Alan Wyne’s short rope advertised on EBay and thought why not? It was at a great price and I received it very promptly too.
Took it to the gym and I was very impressed – heavy duty and great quality too. I’ve used it for chinning (one and two ropes, heavy one and two hand lifts (140kg +) and more specific forearm work.
If your a doorman or close protection officer, a grappler, judoka or jiu-jitsu player ,preparing in/out of season for the rugby pitch or a strongman or competitive strength athlete or even heading to start Commando training then I would highly recommend this short rope as a great training aid.
Everything really does start with the hands -whether that’s manoeuvring an opponent, lifting an object or barbell or even mundane physical chores the stronger your hands and forearms are the more likely hood of success. It all starts with the hands”…
Please note I am not in business with Alan Wyne or a long term acquaintance just someone who only buys great training equipment to aid in my training goals…

I just received Alan Wyne's <placew:ston>Manila short rope device. The first thing I noticed was the high quality of work and craftsmanship; you can tell he thought of every detail when designing it. I was able to attach the short rope to every cable machine, to different free weights; dumbbells, sandbags, kettlebells, and directly to a powercage - basically for any exercise I wanted to specifically increase the grip component. Because it is so compact, I was able to move from exercise to exercise quickly and immediately incorporate it directly into my training. My grip is fried!
Alan's short rope is awesome.
